What are the Main Differences Between Triathlon Running Shoes and Cross Training Shoes?

Without any doubt, it is highly essential for every runner to choose the best pair of shoes. If you want to give the best in both training and championships, then there is no chance of avoiding the quality of shoes. However, many athletes wear running shoes for their competitions, but it cannot always bring the best results. Apart from running shoes, I recommend wearing CrossFit training shoes. I have seen many runners or athletes performing in a much better way by wearing CrossFit training shoes.  However, most of the people feel that running and cross training shoes are quite similar in their look. But both these shoes bring very different results in terms of performance and durability. 

Why should we wear cross training shoes during CrossFit workouts?

You cannot train in the best way by wearing regular triathlon  running shoes. CrossFit workout demands a whole new level of versatility that is not possible with running shoes. Therefore, manufacturers have made special cross-training shoes that offer a high degree of versatility.

The main difference between cross-training and regular shoes is their stability factor. Excellent level of stability is highly essential for the runners as it helps to keep their foot locked during lifting and dynamic movements.

In my opinion, the Nano is the best shoes for CrossFit workouts. The Nano CrossFit shoes offer a high level of stability during tough workouts.

The most prevailing trend that I have noticed among the athletes is the high preference of comfort. Comfort is necessary for providing your best in tough workouts and especially during long-distance races. However, a few years back from now, most of the cross training shoe manufacturers used to focus entirely on the best performance of the shoes. But with the growing demand and trend of runners for comfortable shoes, they started making comfortable cross training shoes. 

What is the average lifespan of CrossFit shoes and when it needs to be replaced?

The average lifespan of running shoes is about three months. However, I cannot say that there is an exact way of calculating the actual life span of cross-training shoes. The life span of both running and cross-training shoes depends upon lots of different variables. The right time to replace the shoes is when it starts showing some bad signs of wear, such as excessive midsole abrasion.
